About the Author

Welcome to The Coaches’ Corner!

The ‘Coaches Corner’ has been up and running now since 2014 and has a growing Twitter base of over 2500 followers. It’s social media presence continues to expand with articles regularly featuring on the Independent Coach Education Newsletter, NLP Coaching Daily, Coach Logic, The Coaching Network, PitchVision Academy and Sports Coach UK’s social media platform ‘Connected Coaches’. Whilst article writing remains a hobby for now, the intention is to publish a quarterly coaching journal to subscribers and followers featuring coaching tips, career opportunities, and interviews with players and coaches from international and elite sport, to grassroots sport to benefit coaches across the profession. If you think you could be of assistance in any way, shape or form then please contact me on the address below. For now, take your pick of article on the list to your left and I hope they are to your interest.

A little bit about myself – I graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2010 with a first class degree in Sports Coaching, before working at the world class Millfield School, predominantly coaching Cricket and Football in addition to teaching Physical Education. In 2014 I returned to Cardiff Met to complete a PGCE in secondary Physical Education, whilst overseeing the University Cricket programme as Performance Director, and lecturing on the Performance Sport and Coaching Science pathways. I have recently just re-joined the cricket coaching staff at Millfield in a full-time capacity alongside  postgraduate Masters study in Sports Coaching and Pedagogy.

They say you learn from seeing the every best in action, so I consider myself extremely fortunate to have worked with some world class coaches, teachers and athletes in my career to date, and have a huge interest in learning from others, coaching across a variety of spectrums and searching for ways to enhance performance, and personal development.
